NRA CCW, (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) training will bring you from a Basic Pistol Certificate holder to a more responsible level of firearms ownership by taking you to the next level in training.
This course will cover, selecting a self-defense firearm including type, caliber, capacity, fit, accessories, modifications, care, and maintenance. You will also be taught carry modes, belt and holster selection, and sights. We will discuss Situational awareness, and de-escalation techniques, the use of “deadly force” and when you can reasonably employ it. The objective of defensive shooting as well as the aftermath, including physical, mental, and sociological, as well legal.
What do you do after involvement in a self-defense shooting?  What you can expect to happen after an incident.
We will also learn how to properly work from a holster, safely. Other live fire subjects will involve shot placement, rate of fire, personal injury, emergency, tactical, and administrative reloads, stance, and movement. When to stop shooting, ready positions, obligations after the shooting stops, and more.
This a day packed with what you need to know, expect it to potentially be a long class. We could end as late as 6:00 depending on individual student needs.
To get as much new information to you as efficiently as possible you will be required to already have an NRA Basic Pistol Certificate or equivalent training. (contact us before registering with questions)
