Northern Chester County Sportsman's Club is located on 26 forested acres in Northern Chester County Pensylvania and offers sportsmen and their families a well rounded opportunity to partake of the shooting experience
Our Club House:
Our club house has undergone massive rennovations thanks to many dedicated members over the past several years. It serves as the facility for our monthly membership meetings (1st Monday of each month), acts as a classroom for our many firearms instruction programs, and doubles as indoor shooting range. The clubhouse also offers a kitchen with bathroom facilities.
Additionally, there is an exterior restroom facility for use by those using the ranges when the clubhouse is closed.
Our Ranges:
PLEASE
DO NOT place targets at the target stand posts nor shoot at the posts on ANY of the ranges!
Long Range:
Our long range has back stops placed at 50, 100 and 150 yards with target stands for paper shooters, and areas available for hanging targets like bowling pins, steel spinners, watermelons, etc.
The firing line is covered with 4 shooting positions/benches to accommodate sitting, standing and prone firing positions.
Short Ranges:
Our two short ranges measure 25 and 50 yards with fixed back stops for both paper and hanging targets. Our shooting benches include one bench for standing and movable benches for sitting. Portable target stands provide shooting various distances.
A newly constructed additional pistol-only range with numerous shooting positions and distances out to 15 yards has also just opened.
Trap Range:
We have one trap house with fixed distance positions and two mechanical hand trap throwers mounted on scorer's benches. The mechanical hand trap throwers may be used by members unless a scheduled trap shoot is in progress. Please remember when using the mechanical trap throwers that "clays" are not included and to properly dispose up your shotgun shells.
Shotgun Patterning:
There is one patterning station located in front of the unused number two trap house. Please remember to remove and properly dispose your cardboard and shotgun shells when finished.
Indoor Pistol Range:
Our indoor pistol range is 45 feet in length and open every Thursday in winter from 6 to 9 PM, see the club calendar for more details. All calibers may be used, however jacketed rounds (FMJ) are not allowed. Food Concessions and ammunition are available for sale.
One of the clubs visionary plans is to construct a new dedicated, year round indoor range!
Archery Range:
In 2013 we have installed a modest archery range with ranges out to 100yds. Contact the club for more information.
