Currently, there are several states that honor the Utah non-resident concealed carry permit in addition to those states with established reciprocity with Pennsylvania. Check with HandgunLaw.us for more information on state reciprocity and various concealed carry laws.
Adding a Utah Concealed Carry permit to your current Pennsylvania CC permit adds reciprocity with seven additional states (Washington, Nebraska, Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, Ohio, and Delaware)
Jason Schafer, a certified NRA Firearms Instructor, is certified to conduct Utah Concealed Carry instruction; and has done so on several occasions at NCCSC when there has been adequate interest. The course lasts 4 hours, taught in one day and covers weapon familiarity, basic firearm safety and the legal aspects of concealed carry relative to Utah statutes.
Non-resident proof of permit: If you reside in a state that recognizes the validity of the Utah CFP or has reciprocity with Utah, you must obtain a CFP or CCW from your home state and submit a copy of it with your application for a Utah permit. For a list of reciprocal states click here. Residency will be determined by your state-issued identification. If your state does not recognize the Utah permit this does not apply.
Weapon Familiarity Certification: Applicants must complete a firearms familiarity course certified by BCI. The course must be completed before you apply for a permit. Please have your instructor complete the certification information on the application.
